Former President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Görmez coming to Western Thrace
Former President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez will visit Western Thrace. Within the scope of his programme, he will give a conference to the cognates.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez will start his Western Thrace visit programme from Komotini on Friday, 14 June 2024. After the meetings he will hold in Komotini, Prof. Dr. Görmez will come together with Western Thracian religious officials and other interested compatriots at 19.00 in the evening at the local of Komotini Turkish Youth Union and will give a conference to them.
Prof. Dr. Görmez will be in Xanthi on Saturday 15 June 2024. After some visits, he will give a conference to the cognates at the Xanthi Branch of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association at 13.00.
On the same day, Görmez, who will perform the evening prayer in the Upper Neighbourhood Mosque in Ketenlik village of Mustafçova Municipality, will visit Şahin village after chatting with the cognates there. He will perform the Isha prayer together with the cognates from Şahin at Şahin Tekke Mosque.
Former President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez will finally perform the Eid prayer on Sunday morning, 16 June, at the Çınar Mosque in Xanthi and celebrate Eid with the kinsmen.
