Film of 'Sadık Ahmet' to be released on 5 January 2024
The promotion of the film about the life story of Dr Sadık Ahmet, the leader of Western Thrace Turks, was released.
Famous actor Turgay Aydın will portray Dr Sadık Ahmet in the film. Aydın learnt to play the saz for his role and started to take Greek lessons.
Produced by MCG FILM / M.Cüneyt Göz, project design and creative production by Muhammet Usta and Tan Doğan Muzır, and administrative production by Didem Gümüş, Sadık Ahmet film will be directed by Hakan Yonat.
Mert Dikmen, who wrote the script of the film about the struggle of Western Thrace Turks for rights and freedom, scanned thousands of documents and listened to dozens of interviews and interviews. The screenwriter, who worked meticulously with the family of Dr. Sadık Ahmet, told the completely true story in dramatic language.
The film will be shot in Istanbul, Bursa, Edirne, Komotini and Athens starting from August. The film will meet the cinema audience on 5 January 2024.
