Ferhat announces the the steps to be followed for hail damaged products

MP Ferhat listed the road map to be followed in the damage assessment studies to be carried out by the Agricultural Compensation Agency (ELGA) on crops such as cotton, maize and cherries as follows:

Hail damaged lands and products of our farmers:

COTTON If it came out of the ground, compensation will be given

ELGA must be notified and a "witness area" must be left in the field to prove the damage to the authorities at the time of detection!

Cotton that has been sown but not emerged due to slipping due to rainfall or disaster will not be damaged!

EGYPT: Affected lands will be notified to Elga and compensation will be given according to the degree!

CHERRY and other trees: Orchards notified to ELGA will receive compensation after inspection and determination!

Notes: While the fruits were affected by two hailstorms in Kiraz, on the other hand, akarpia, i.e. drying of the kernel without fruit, occurred in the same trees due to the disaster.

I have personally communicated this to ELGA officials and it will be taken into account in the determinations to be made and will be reflected in the compensation level!
