FEP President celebrates Int' Women's Day
Çiğdem Asafoğlu, Chairman of the Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party, published a message on the occasion of 8 March International Women's Day.
FEP Party Chairman Asafoğlu's statement is as follows:
“As a result of the increasing importance given to women's rights around the world, the United Nations General Assembly in 1977 accepted the celebration of 8 March as International Women's Day.
Our women, who represent love, sacrifice, productivity, and sensitivity, are the cornerstones of a peaceful and healthy society. I underline once again that women should always make important contributions to their families and society and take an active part in every aspect of life. One of the development measures of societies is the value given to women, the education they receive, the place they acquire in economic, political, social and cultural life.
I want all women to find the true value they deserve in society, to find solutions to their problems, and to contribute.
On this special day, we wish all our women a beautiful day where the respect and value they deserve is shown; I celebrate International Women's Day, especially to our Western Thrace Muslim Turkish women and all women of the world."
