FEP Party participates in the 2024 European Parliament elections
Friendship, Equality and Peace (FEP) Party, the political organ of Western Thrace Turks, will participate in the European Parliament elections to be held on Sunday 9 June 2024.
The Supreme Court of Cassation announced which parties from Greece will participate in the elections on Wednesday 24 April 2024.
FEP Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu addressed the Western Thrace Turks by making a video sharing on the social media accounts of the party after the party's application for participation in the elections was accepted without any legal problem and announced to the public that the party will participate in the EP elections.
In her statement Asafoğlu said; "Dear Western Thrace Turks. As it is known, there are European Parliament elections to be held in our country on 9 June. We, as the FEP Party, will take our place in these elections as the only and loud voice of the Muslim Turkish minority of Western Thrace. We will shout 'We are here' against those who ignore us. Come on, let's all meet at the ballot box on 9 June. Let's make our voice heard all over Europe once again."
