The Friendship, Equality and Peace (FEP) Party condemned the hanging of an anti-Islamic poster in front of the historical Çelebi Sultan Mehmet Mosque in Dimetoka.
In the statement made by the FEP Party, it was emphasized that the hanging of the anti-Islam poster was sad and an indication of the fascist views in the region.
The following statements were included in the statement of the FEP Party:
"The fact that an Islamophobic poster with the text 'Stop the Islamization of Evros-Meriç immediately' has been hung in front of the historical Çelebi Sultan Mehmed Mosque in the town of Dimetoka is a sad and an indication of the fascist views in our region.
Unidentified people who planned this heinous attack are consciously or unconsciously trying to shape our Minority according to their own perspectives, ignoring the religion of the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority, whose race is unjustly denied in our country.
It is imperative that the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority, which lives in peace in the region without discriminating against people, languages, religions or races, should be taken as an example and treated as they deserve. We strongly condemn this and such fascist thoughts and attacks and wish it to end as soon as possible.”
