“Evaluation” meeting by Board of trustees of Avdira (Bulustra) region
Board of trustees in villages within the borders of Bulustra (Avdira) Municipality of Xanthi held a meeting on the initiative of MPs Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek.
The meeting took place at the Xanthi Branch of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association.
Mizanlı (Zigos), Misvaklı (Feloni), Boyacılar (Vafeika), Müselim Tekkesi (Heti), Hemetli (Diomidia), Karaköy (P. Katramio), Alıtçılar (Afksendio) and Horozlu (Petinos), all within the borders of Bulustra (Avdira) Municipality.) villages, representatives of the Mosque Board of Trustees attended.
In addition to those, Xanthi deputies Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek, Xanthi Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Eastern Macedonia - Thrace State Assembly Member İrfan Hacıgene, Lawyer Ahmet Kara, Avdira Municipality Elected Members İlhan Giritli, Bülent Velioğlu, President of the Association Hüseyin Baltacı and Millet Newspaper Publication Coordinator Bilal Budur also attended.
After the looting of the historical Muslim-Turkish cemetery in Petinos (Horozlu) village with the order of Avdira Mayor Tsitiridis last month, the foundation lands that came to the agenda and their notification to the land registry and cadastre were discussed.
The board members of trustees participating in the meeting, discussed the declarations they made about the foundation lands in their villages, the problematic areas and the places that were shown as municipality or state land by the municipality.
At the meeting, the processes to be followed in general about foundation properties were evaluated.
Lawyer Ahmet Kara answered the questions of the board of trustees and explained what steps could be taken in relation to the problematic foundation lands from now on.
Deputies Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek also stated that they will continue to provide all kind of support to the board of trustees during this process.
Xanthi Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu thanked the deputies who took this initiative and stated that they, as the Mufti institution, favor the continuation of such meetings and that they will make every contribution in coordination with the village imams.
Evaluations were made on how to take more conscious steps regarding the issues concerning the foundation lands and the board of trustees in the villages.
It was stated that the meetings will continue with the board of trustees in other regions. The board of trustees participating in the meeting expressed their satisfaction.

We held the first of our meetings, which we will continue to hold regionally in the future, in the meeting hall of the Xanthi Branch of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association.
The meeting was attended by Xanthi Elected Mufti Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Eastern Macedonia - Thrace State Assembly Member İrfan Hacıgene, Lawyer Ahmet Kara, Avdira Municipality Elected Members İlhan Giritli, Bülent Velioğlu, President of the Association Dr. Hüseyin Baltacı and Millet Newspaper Coordinator Bilal Budur.
We discussed and listened to the problems of their regions, and decided to act together.
