Enthusiastic participation in the Cherry Festival
The 22nd Cherry Festival organised by Yassıköy Municipality in Rhodope province has been completed.
On Friday 31 May, the first day of the fertival started with the speech of Yassıköy Mayor Caner Imam and continued with the cultural programme after the protocol speeches.
On the second day of the festival (Saturday 1 June), Nuray Selim, a singer from Bulgaria, took the stage first. With the concert of Lara, a famous singer from Turkey, the guests who attended the festival had a marvellous night. In the last part of the night, singer Stan Antipariotis took the stage.
The third day of the Cherry Festival (Sunday 2 June) was marked by the concert of the famous Turkish pop singer Güliz Ayla. Hundreds of young people who came to the festival area in Bulatköy accompanied Güliz Ayla's songs.
Iris Mutuş from Xanthi sang Turkish and Greek songs and Yorgos Kloncas from Athens gave a concert at the festival.
In the football tournament organised within the scope of the festival, Kozlukebir Karmas and Yassıköy Karmas met. The team that emerged victorious from the final match was Kozlukebir and lifted the championship cup.
