TOÇEK Theater Group organized a conference on “The Emergence of Turkish Culture” in which Ahmet Taşağıl participated as a speaker.
The Seed ve Flower (TOÇEK) Theater Group operating in Western Thrace held a conference at the Cris&Eve hotel in Komotini today at 18.00.
The speaker of the conference on "The Emergence of Turkish Culture" organized by TOÇEK was Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taşağıl.
At the opening of the conference, TOÇEK Theater Group Director Şükran Raif gave a speech and greeted the participants. Then, Turkey's Consul General Murat Ömeroğlu greeted the participants. Emphasizing the importance of the conference, he thanked the TOÇEK team for organizing the important conference.
“THE CAPABILITY OF TURKS TO IMMIGRATE IS HIGH THROUGHOUT HISTORY”
Later, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tasagil took it. Starting his speech by talking about the emergence and historical process of Turkish culture, Taşağıl stated that Turks have survived throughout history with their ability to migrate. Pointing out that Turks have a great ability to migrate, he noted that they managed to live as tribes in the places they migrated.
“THE TURKISH WORD FIRST SEEN IN THE CHINESE TEXTS”
Stating that the first Turkish word was mentioned in the Chinese text in A.D. 582, Taşağıl pointed out that today there are migration events from Central Asia to Eastern Europe every 100 years and this situation continues today. Explaining that many people of Turkish origin became either Slavic or Bulgarian for various reasons in history, he emphasized the importance of the role of women in the Göktürk period. Taşağıl stated that women played a very important role in this period and that they learned the structure that we can take as a model today. Stating that according to Bilge Kaan, there are three basic elements that the people expect from the state, Taşagil listed these elements as trust, justice, and economy.
FACILITIES CAUSED STATES WEAKNESS
Stating that famine was the leading cause of the collapse of the great Turkish states in history, he said that the reason for this was the harsh winter conditions at that time, causing the states to weaken.
Afterwards, famous historian explained the history of Turkish culture in Central Asia with various visuals and stated that the organization in the form of tribes in 635 gave birth to Western Turkishness.
TURKS HAVE GIFT TWO IMPORTANT EVENTS TO THE WORLD
Stating that there were two important events that the Turks gave to the world as gifts, he said that one of them was teaching iron work and the other was the domestication of the horse. Stating that Turks can establish cities wherever they see fit for themselves, he said that they can keep Turkish culture alive wherever they go. Explaining that the Pechenegs are the best example for this, he noted that the Pechenegs carried out great historical events and the Avars played the same role.
Stating that there are days full of dark pain in today's Turkish world, he emphasized that we need to know our own history very well in order to protect our existence at this point.
