Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region participates in dialogue on climate change and sustainable tourism

The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) participated in a panel discussion on the impact of climate change on tourism, represented by the Regional Vice Governor for Tourism, Panagiotis Archontis, during the CLIMPACT conference held in Athens.

Also attending the event was the Deputy Mayor of Tourism for Thassos, Giannis Markianos.

"The Region is evolving by actively engaging in key strategic planning initiatives for the sustainable development of tourist destinations and products," stated Mr. Archontis.

He also emphasized that the regional tourism promotion program continues, with EMT participating in upcoming tourism exhibitions in Serbia and Romania.
