Dr Sadık Ahmet's name given to hall in YTB

The name of Dr. Sadık Ahmet, the symbol of the struggle of Western Thrace Turks for rights and truth, was given to the hall built in the headquarters of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities. Sadık Ahmet's wife also attended the opening of the hall.
Dr. Sadık Ahmet, known for his struggles for the rights and freedom of Western Thrace Turks, was not forgotten by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). The hall built in the headquarters of YTB in Ankara was named after Dr. Sadık Ahmet. The hall, which will host various events and meetings, was opened by YTB President Abdullah Eren and Dr Sadık Ahmet's wife Işık Sadık Ahmet.
Speaking at the opening of the hall, YTB President Abdullah Eren pointed out that there are compatriots in different geographies of the world who struggle for rights and law, and underlined that when Western Thrace is mentioned, the name Dr Sadık Ahmet comes to mind. Stating that Dr. Sadık Ahmet led and benefited the society in every period of his life, Eren said, "I/we support this struggle both as a native Western Thracian and as the president of the institution established by our state for our cognates and related communities. It is very important for us to keep Dr Sadık Ahmet's name alive here."
Stating that many places in Turkey are named after Dr Sadık Ahmet, Eren said, "The fact that many places are named after him is an important work done in order to pay the debt of loyalty. Having such a hall in YTB was a very important and meaningful memory."
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Işık Sadık Ahmet said that the struggle of Dr Sadık Ahmet did not go to the grave with him. Işık Ahmet expressed his satisfaction that the hall was named after his husband and said, "We want to keep his memory alive. In this sense, we get the most power from Turkey." Işık Ahmet said that keeping the name of Dr Sadık Ahmet alive is a great example of loyalty and thanked YTB President Abdullah Eren.
