Consul General Ünal visits Narlıköy
Aykut Ünal, the Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, visited Narlıköy, a village in the Rhodope region. On Friday, January 31, Consul General Ünal met with local Turkish minority members and attended the Friday prayer at the village mosque.
During the visit, he was accompanied by İbrahim Şerif, the President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini, Caner İmam, the Mayor of Yassıköy, as well as Sadık Sadık, the former president of the Western Thrace Mosques Religious Officials Association, and other members of the local community.
The Consulate General of Turkey in Komotini shared a statement about the visit on its social media account, saying:
"We were honored to be guests of our compatriots in Rodop/Narlıköy. We thank them for their hospitality."
