Consul General Aykut Unal participates in the "Images of the Year" voting
Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, participated in the voting of 'Images of the Year', which includes photographs of the events that marked 2023 through the eyes of Anadolu Agency (AA).
Ünal analysed the photographs taken by AA reporters and photojournalists in and outside the country during 2023, and selected "News", "Environment-Life", "Sports", "Gaza : Evidence" and "Earthquake: Hope" categories.
Consul General Ünal voted for Mahmut Serdar Alakuş's "Sky acrobatics" in the "News" category, Emin Sansar's "In the presence of Ata(türk)" in the "Environment-Life" category and Dursun Aydemir's "Sultans of the world" in the "Sports" category.
"Gaza: Evidence" category, Ünal voted for Mustafa Hassona's photograph "The last touch of a brother", and in the "Earthquake: Hope" category, he chose Aytuğ Can Sencar's photograph titled "The hope of the earthquake".
Ünal said in a statement to AA correspondent, "We made a selection, albeit difficult, among the photographs with meaning and depth by AA photojournalists who work all over the world, under all conditions, without knowing what fatigue is. I would like to congratulate the photojournalists who have worked hard to bring us the right news and the right moment."
