Consul General Aykut Unal embraces kinsmen in Xanthi
Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Turkey to Komotini, who started his duty in Western Thrace, started his meeting with kinsmen in Domruköy last week.
Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Komotini, continued his visit program with Xanthi center this week. Visiting Xanthi today, Consul General Unal met with fellow citizens at the Cinar Mosque in the city.
Before the Friday prayer, Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa preached to the congregation. Mufti Trampa, who ended his sermon with the adhan on Friday, introduced Consul General Unal. Consul General Aykut Unal, who took the floor, expressed his satisfaction for being together with the kinsmen in his short greeting speech and thanked the community for the interest and concern shown to him.
Consul General Ünal, who performed the Friday prayer with his kinsmen, chatted with them in the mosque and in the courtyard. It did not go unnoticed that the Consul General was particularly interested in the elderly in the congregation.
During his visit to Consul General Ünal in Xanthi, Vice Consul Barış Çulha, Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa, Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Xanthi minority MPs Hüseyin Zeybek, Burhan Baran, Xanthi Turkish Union (ITB) President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, ÇINAR Association President Cengiz Ömer, Western Thrace Minority Higher Graduates Association President Hüseyin Baltacı (BTAYTD), and Mustafa Cukal, the former Mayor of Mustafçova Mustafa Cukal, and relatives attended the ceremony.
