Committee Members and Parents' Association representatives meet with Xanthi Mayor Kontos
On November 25, 2024, a delegation from the Xanthi Minority Middle School-High School Administrative Committee and Parents' Association met with Xanthi Mayor Stratos Kontos and Deputy Mayor Şaban Bandak at the Xanthi Municipality building.
Led by Administrative Committee Chairman Ozan Ahmetoğlu, the delegation highlighted the longstanding building issues of the school, detailing the historical context and current challenges. Ahmetoğlu emphasized the severe difficulties faced by students, teachers, and families due to the unresolved situation, underlining that a permanent solution requires constructing a new school building.
The delegation formally presented a detailed written report on the issue to Mayor Kontos, requesting his and Deputy Mayor Bandak’s support in resolving the problem.
As a token of appreciation, Ahmetoğlu presented a school plaque to Mayor Kontos. Kontos thanked the delegation for their visit and assured them that he and Bandak would closely follow the matter.
The meeting included Administrative Committee members Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Ersan Ömer, and Bahri Belço, alongside Parents' Association representatives Selma Veli, Erdal Hocaoğlu, Münevver Ago, Feride Muhtar Küçük, and Reyhan Deli.
