Children from the Rhodope region meet at Bıyıklıköy Mosque

The third of the 'Take Your Child and Come to Morning Prayer' programme initiated by the Mufti's Office of Komotini was successfully held. This time children from the Rhodope region met at the Bıyıklıköy Mosque on Sunday 19 November.

The "Take Your Child and Come to Morning Prayer" programme, which was re-launched by the Mufti's Office and brings children and parents together in the same rows during morning prayers in mosques on Sundays, continues.

The third of the programme, which started in Komotini Şehreküsü Mosque and then continued in Bekirli Mosque, was held in Bıyıklıköy Mosque.

The programme was attended by children and parents from Bıyıklıköy, children from neighbouring villages and religious officials. The morning prayer programme was also attended by Sadık Sadık, President of the Association of Religious Officers of Western Thrace Mosques and Erdem Hüseyin, the newly elected Mayor of Kozlukebir.

Arriving at the mosque at the time of the morning prayer, the children prayed with the congregation and listened to the speech of İbrahim Şerif, Mufti of Komotini. After the prayer, the Mufti's Office offered breakfast to all participants, men and women, who attended the programme.

In the statement made by the Mufti's Office of Komotini regarding the programme, "Our "Take Your Child and Come to Morning Prayer" programme took place on Sunday morning, 19 November 2023 at Bıyıklıköy Mosque of Kozlukebir Municipality. Children, women, men and children all stood in line together and met in the presence of our Lord. We experienced wahdat in our tasbihat and prayers. We would like to thank our Virtuous Mufti who participated in our programme, our congregation, religious officials, the people of Bıyıklıköy who contributed and contributed to our invitation from far and near.  May Allah accept." statements were included.
