Celal Bayar Minority School releases bilingual song: 'Okulumuz – Το σχολείο μας'

Celal Bayar Minority Middle and High School in Komotini has composed a bilingual song titled "Okulumuz – Το σχολείο μας", which was performed by the school's choir made up of students.
The inspiration for the song came from a poem featured in the school's 2023 calendar, written by Ignatios Houvardas, the school's Greek language teacher. The poem was translated into Turkish by Özgür Kaplan, a Turkish Language and Literature teacher, and a unique piece was created, combining both Greek and Turkish verses.
The composition process of the song was greatly assisted by Mehmet Mustafa, the school's music teacher. The choir, which consisted of students from various grades, performed the song, with Efe Sali, a student, and Stella Farmaki, the school's social services specialist and musician, contributing solo vocals. The percussion was provided by Ayberk Kamber, and the guitar was played by Mehmet Mustafa.
The recording of the song took place recently in the Celal Bayar Minority School's courtyard. The bilingual piece, titled "Okulumuz – Το σχολείο μας", was also shared on social media, allowing a wider audience to appreciate the school's musical and cultural contribution.
