Bulgarian Finance Minister in Alexandroupoli
Bulgarian Finance Minister Asen Vasilev visited Alexandroupoli on Wednesday, November 1.
Vasilev, first visited the floating natural gas storage unit (FSRU) in Alexandroupoli, then had a meeting with the Mayor of Alexandroupoli, Yannis Zambukis.
After that Vasilev, visited the Meriç (Evros) Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with the President of the Chamber and the newly elected EMT State President Hristodulos Topsidis.
The Bulgarian minister congratulated Topsidis for his election victory, the parties exchanged views on infrastructure, road network and connection issues between Bulgaria's Ormenio and Alexandroupoli, and the latest developments in the oil pipeline project planned to be built between Alexandroupoli and the Bulgarian city of Burgas.
In the last meeting, the duo talked about the benefits that both sides will gain from the cooperation between the two countries, and also touched on business and tourism issues.
