BTTDD Headquarters managers in Thessaloniki!
The delegation consisting of association managers, branch heads and young people visited the house where Atatürk was born in Thessaloniki.
In the press release issued by BTTDD Headquarters on the subject, it was stated that “This year, we will attend our January 29 National Resistance Day Commemoration events with a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association, Hasan Küçük, the head of the headquarters, branch presidents and managers. We started by making our voices heard from the house where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk the Great Leader Gazi, the founder of the Turkish Republic was born in Thessaloniki.”
Chairman Hasan Küçük said in his press release:
“As we commemorate the anniversary of a revolt, a resistance, and the honor of owning our cause with the spirit of national struggle for 35 years, we continue to make our voices heard from places that have national and spiritual value and meaning in recent years. Six years ago, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk made our voice heard at the Taksim Atatürk Monument, at the January 29 National Resistance Day commemoration meetings with the delegation consisting of the directors and members of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association, which exists with 13 branches, 7 representatives, sports clubs and foundations under one roof throughout Turkey. Today we are speaking from the Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of Atatürk, the Martyrdom Monument in Çanakkale the following year, the spiritual peace of our 90 thousand martyrs who passed away in Sarıkamış, the easternmost tip of the Republic of Turkey in 2019, Srebrenica in 2020, the greatest drama the world has seen at the end of the 20th century. We made our voices heard by commemorating the "National Day of Resistance" on January 29, with the press statements we made after the Friday prayer held at the Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul in 2021 from the Potocari Mausoleum, where humanity was massacred and 8,372 women, men and children were buried in mass graves. Today, we are calling out to those who try to teach our country about democracy and human rights from the house where the founder of our republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, opened his eyes, and to those who are trying to deny the Turkish existence in Western Thrace. It is the day it took its place in the honorable pages of Turkish history. The Turkish Minority in Western Thrace did not come into existence with the decision of Greece. The Minority in Western Thrace is TURK and will continue to exist as a Turk.”
