"Bring Your Child to Fajr Prayer" program continues in Omurluköy
The "Bring Your Child to Fajr Prayer" program, relaunched by the Mufti’s Office of Komotini for 2024, continued this weekend. On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the program was hosted at Omurluköy Mosque in Kozlukebir Municipality.
The event was attended by Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif, Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, President of the Western Thrace Mosque Religious Officials Association Erol Yaluç, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Regional Council Member Ahmet Osman Pehlivan, Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin, Council Member Sabri Terzi, and local religious officials. A diverse congregation of women, men, youth, elders, and children participated enthusiastically.
The Mufti’s Office shared their reflections on social media:
"This morning, we held our 'Bring Your Child to Fajr Prayer' program at Omurluköy Mosque. Together with a large congregation, we found peace in the presence of our Lord through prayer, Qur’an recitation, dhikr, and Mufti Şerif’s heartfelt sermon. We express our gratitude to the men and women of the village for their warm hospitality, the families who brought their children, and the religious officials who contributed to the event. May Allah bless them all."
The program fosters community spirit and strengthens faith by encouraging families to attend mosque prayers together.
