Berrin Deli Ibrahim: I will do my best to address the deep-rooted problems of the minority
PASOK candidate Berrin Deli İbrahim, in an interview with MİLLET, addressed questions regarding their objectives and the issues faced by the Minority community.
Deli İbrahim, emphasizing their commitment to tackling the deep-rooted problems of the Minority, stated, "Our leader is well aware of the challenges faced by the Minority, and I am confident that he will support my efforts in resolving these issues."
Here are Berrin Deli İbrahim's responses to our questions:
QUESTION 1: Can you briefly introduce yourself?
BERRİN: My name is Berrin Deli İbrahim. I was born in Ketenlik and grew up in İskeçe (Xanthi). I studied economics at Ioannina University and completed my master's degree at Athens University of Economics and Business. Subsequently, I registered as a Class A accountant at the Greece Chamber of Commerce and embarked on a professional career. Since 2011, I have been working as an accountant, financial advisor, and economic consultant in my office located in the heart of Athens. In the past two years, I have also opened an accounting office in İskeçe (Xanthi) to serve our local clients.
QUESTION 2: Why did you decide to run as a Member of Parliament, and why did you choose PASOK?
BERRİN: I decided to run because I believe I can contribute to the advancement of our community with my ideas and perspectives. I entered politics with the PASOK-KINAL party because it is a party that eliminates discrimination and upholds democratic values.
PASOK is a party that fights for human rights, advocates for equal justice for all our people, and stands against discrimination. I chose to run with PASOK because it is a party that genuinely prioritizes the interests of the Minority and education.
Before my birth, thanks to PASOK, prejudice was eliminated, and I graduated from a Greek university. In my opinion, no other party has shown as much concern for the Minority and education as PASOK.
On November 17, 1995, with Papandreou's permission, Gerasimos Arsenis ordered the lifting of the "Forbidden Zone" boundaries.
When we look at the history of PASOK, we see that it is a party that cares about the difficulties faced by the Minority and places the issues of the minority on its priority list. The fact that our party leader, Mr. Androulakis, came to Ketenlik village and his sincere approach proves how close this party is to the Minority.
I am confident that our leader is well aware of the problems faced by the Minority and will support my efforts in resolving these issues.
QUESTION 3: If elected as a Member of Parliament, what will be your priority?
My priority will be to improve the quality of life for our kinsmen in the region, create equal job opportunities by implementing PASOK-KINAL party's projects to combat unemployment. It will also involve supporting the educational level of women, enabling them to participate more actively in social and professional life. As someone who stands by women and understands them best, I will always be there for them.
QUESTION 4: You are familiar with the issues faced by the Minority. If elected, which problem do you plan to prioritize in terms of resolution, and why?
BERRİN: Everyone is aware of the deep-rooted problems faced by our Minority, including education and labor migration. Of course, there are other issues as well. Personally, I assure everyone that I will exert every effort in these areas. Drawing on my profession and life experiences, I will work tirelessly to raise the welfare level of our community. I am ready to fight, taking correct and confident steps, to overcome challenges and ensure that the society attains the quality of life it deserves. In my discussions with our party leader, Nikos Andrulakis, who studied in our region and lived closely with us, I can say that he has empathy for our community. This gives me hope for the resolution of these chronic issues.
QUESTION 5: As a young, female politician, what is your brief message to the voters, especially to women and youth?
BERRİN: Your vote on Sunday, May 21, can mark the beginning of a new era. Remember, you have the power to bring about change through your choice! Trust me and my party! If we win the elections, I will strive to represent you in parliament in the best possible way. Now is the time for change. Let your contribution be part of that change. I look forward to your support.
I would like to thank you for providing me with this opportunity as MİLLET newspaper.
