Beloved teacher Gülten in Western Thrace passes away

For 41 years, Gülten Mustafa, who educated hundreds of students in Yassıköy Turkish Minority Primary School, gained the love and respect of Yassıköy residents. Gülten Mustafa, who had a special interest in Turkish literature and poetry, published two poetry books.
76-year-old Gülten Mustafa, who passed away at the age of 76, will be buried tomorrow (24 October Tuesday) after the noon prayer at the Marmara Faculty of Theology Mosque in Istanbul.
The statement made by the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union regarding the death of Gülgen Mustafa, wife of Cahit Aliosman, former president of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union and mother of Aralya Aliosman, is as follows
"Gülten Mustafa (Aliosman) was born in 1947 in Komotini. She completed her primary education at Idadiye Turkish Primary School. After primary school she went to Bolu Primary Teacher Training School. At the end of four years, she attended Istanbul Ortaköy Teacher Training School for 2 years and graduated in 1965.
From the 1965 - 66 school year, he worked in Yassıköy Turkish Primary School for 41 years. He also worked for one year in Idadiye and Osmaniye Turkish schools.
After retiring from teaching, he worked as a volunteer Turkish teacher at Rhodes Muslims Culture and Brotherhood Association. He wrote poetry books titled "Sounds of Silence" and "Small Games". In 1992, he graduated from Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Education Associate Degree Programme.
On behalf of the community of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union, we wish God's mercy to our teacher Gülten Mustafa and condolences and patience to her family, her loved ones and our teaching community. May her place be heaven."
