The Municipality of Komotini announced with a statement that the risk of fire in the Rhodope region is very high today as well. Citizens were asked to be very careful.
The Municipality of Komotini announced that there is a high risk of fire in the Rhodope region today (Tuesday 22 August).
While the municipality administration emphasised that citizens should avoid tools and behaviours that may cause fire, in case of a possible fire in the region, witnesses should call the emergency numbers 199 and 112 and inform the competent authorities.
According to the Fire Risk Forecast Map published by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, a high fire risk is foreseen in the Rhodope region today (Tuesday 22 August 2023). Today, Rhodope is in category 4, i.e. at a very high level.
