Ankara BATÖB visits the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM)
A delegation from Ankara BATÖB, consisting of university students of Western Thrace Turkish origin studying in Ankara, visited the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).
The students, hosted by Ankara MP Zeynep Yıldız, experienced a unique moment during their visit. The meeting also included a productive discussion on the issues facing Western Thrace Turks, with the Balkan-origin MP Zeynep Yıldız. Following the meeting, the students shared a post on social media, stating:
“We exchanged ideas about the activities of our community. We express our gratitude to the esteemed MP for taking time from her busy schedule to share her important insights with us.”
This visit provided an opportunity for students to engage in meaningful dialogue with a representative who shares their roots and to address significant issues regarding their community.
