Ali Salihoğlu commemorated at his grave
Ali Salihoğlu, who worked as an executive in Xanthi Turkish Union for a long time and died last year, was commemorated with a ceremony organised at his grave in the village of Inhanlı on the first anniversary of his death.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by İsmet Tüccar and Hilmi Karahüseyin and continued with a prayer by Ahmet Hraloğlu, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi.
Speaking about the services of Ali Salihoğlu, ITB President Ozan Ahmetoğlu emphasised that Ali Salihoğlu's commitment to the cause of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and his services will not be forgotten.
Afterwards, Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the FEP Party, of which Ali Salihoğlu was a member of the Central Executive Committee, Ahmet Hraloğlu, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi and Şenol Salihoğlu, father of the late Ali Salihoğlu, made speeches.
In the speeches, Ali Salihoğlu's services to the Turkish community in Western Thrace and his struggling personality were emphasised.
ITB President Ozan Ahmetoğlu thanked everyone who attended the ceremony.
