AERIAL SPRAYING FOR MOSQUITOES IN RHODOPE
Specifically, aerial spraying will be carried out in the wider areas of the lakes Vistonida and Ismarida from 06:00 in the morning until 2:00 at noon.
People and animals are requested not to move in the natural environment of the above areas during the spraying for purely precautionary reasons.
The application will not take place in residential areas, however during the flight to and from the application areas the helicopter may pass close to residential areas without this posing a risk to public health.
It should be noted that the spraying operations will be carried out in accordance with the instructions described in D1a/G.P. οικ. 15226/12-03-2024 Circular of the Ministry of Health (ID: 66LX465FYO-NPSA) and the D1a/G.P. 16511/28-03-2024 (ID: PB2K465FYO-789) document of the Ministry of Health, as well as the document of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food No. 1278/31819/01-02-2024.
The application will be made:
- Under the responsibility of the contractor (ASNF Aero Applications IKE).
- using a helicopter equipped with special and appropriate equipment.
- with continuous supervision by special scientists and employees of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
- With preparations approved for the purpose in accordance with the document of the Plant Production Protection Department of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food (No. 12782/31819/01-02-2024).
If for any reason the applications are not carried out, they will be postponed within the next few days.
