Advisory Board: No one should doubt that we will stand by our people

The following statements were made in the statement regarding the meeting.
"On 22 August Tuesday evening, the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace held an extraordinary meeting and evaluated the forest fires in our region. Both the fire that has been going on in Evros region for days and the fires that occurred on Monday at noon in the region covering Çepelli, Büyük Müsellim, Susurköy, Kozlardere and Narlıköy, which are the neighbouring villages of Yassıköy Municipality, have deeply saddened us all. First of all, we convey our get well wishes to all those affected by this natural disaster.
As the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, no one should have any doubt that we will stand by our people in solidarity and solidarity in order to heal all material and moral wounds.
We sincerely thank the competent authorities and our volunteers who made great efforts to prevent this disaster from growing and to extinguish the fires. We also owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who organised and delivered aid to the areas of victimisation with their personal efforts or within the association.
The rain prayer request from our compatriots was evaluated in our meeting and it was decided to organise a rain prayer on Friday during the Friday prayer in Western Thrace. Our kinsmen who want to pray for rain beforehand have been deemed appropriate to do so immediately.
In addition, we would like to thank those from our motherland, the Republic of Türkiye, and from cognate associations abroad who want to help. We share with the whole public that we will be with those who request assistance with all our strength after the damage - loss determination to be made in the coming days.
Finally, the representatives of our motherland, the Republic of Türkiye, have closely followed the developments and have been with us. We are grateful to them for their support."
