Advisory Board members visited Thessaloniki
Members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board (BTTADK) held a series of meetings in Thessaloniki on Friday, 9 June.
Members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board (BTTADK) first visited Türkiye's Consul General in Thessaloniki, Serkan Gedik, within the scope of their Thessaloniki contacts.
Visiting Thessaloniki on Friday, June 9, the members of the Advisory Board visited Türkiye's Consul General in Thessaloniki Serkan Gedik and Atatürk's House under the chairmanship of BTTADK President and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif.
In the post shared on the social media account of the Turkish Consulate General in Thessaloniki regarding the visit, it was stated that "We were honored to host the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, which visited Thessaloniki, at our Consulate General and to show the Atatürk House."
Members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board (BTTADK) also visited Thessaloniki Muslims Education and Culture Association on the same day.
BTTADK President and Elected Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif gave the following information about the visit on his social media account:
“Today, we came together with our association manager brothers in Thessaloniki and exchanged ideas. We thank them for their hosting.
Today, we performed the Friday prayer in Thessaloniki Osman Ağa Mosque. We talked to the community about Islamic brotherhood. May Allah accept our prayers.
Today, at the end of our Thessaloniki visit, we, as Advisory Board Members, paid a congratulatory visit to the new Consul General. We also visited the house where Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, was born.”
