A trip to Thessaloniki from Komotini Turkish Youth Union

The management of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union (GTGB) and the members of the New Generation Branch visited the city of Thessaloniki and the house of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on Saturday.

The following information was included in the press release issued by the GTGB regarding the Thessaloniki trip:

GTGB President Sedat Hasan, members of the Board of Directors, New Generation Branch President Elif Hüseyin and young members of the New Generation Branch participated in the trip organized by Komotini Turkish Youth Union to Thessaloniki on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's house was visited for the first time. Subsequently, Efe Ceylan, Turkish Consul General of Thessaloniki, hosted our Chairman and members of the Board of Directors in his office. He expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that the doors of the Consulate are always open to students who are considering choosing Thessaloniki for higher education. Our President, Sedat Hasan, also thanked Mr. Efe Ceylan for accepting us and hosting us in the best way possible.

In memory of the visit, a painting made in our Handicraft courses was presented as a gift.

Afterwards, Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association Thessaloniki GAT Branch was visited.

Lastly, the White Tower, which is one of the landmarks of Thessaloniki, was visited and our young people who participated in the tour had the opportunity to get to know Thessaloniki by spending their free time.
