According to the statement made by Yannis Artopios, spokesman for the Greek Fire Brigade, 18 bodies were found in Dadia Forest in the region where there were no reports of any casualties.
It is estimated that the bodies belong to irregular migrants who entered Greece from Evros.
Due to the fire that broke out in the region yesterday, evacuations were made in many residential areas and a warning message was sent to the mobile phones of the residents of the region to move away.
