Union of Turkish News Agencies established
According to AA's news, the founding document of ATNA was signed between AA, Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), Kyrgyz National News Agency (Kabar), Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) and Kazakhstan's Qazcontent in a programme held at a hotel in Bakırköy.
The Union was launched after the signatures were signed by Serdar Karagöz, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of AA, Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AZERTAC, Mederbek Shermetaliev, General Manager of Kabar, Bekzat Zhussupov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qazcontent and Abdisait Kuchimov, General Manager of UzA.
Speaking at the meeting, Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the delegation of Aksakallılar, noted that in addition to the 5 founding countries, 3 observer members TRNC, Turkmenistan and Hungary should also be included in the Union.
