Genocide of Turks in Morea protested in İzmir

The genocide of Turks in the Morea Peninsula was protested in İzmir. The event was organized under the leadership of the İzmir Branch of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association (BTTDD) and the Balkan Rumeli Turks Confederation.
Genocide of Turks in Morea protested in İzmir

The protest was attended by the heads and representatives of civil society organizations active in İzmir, along with members of the Rumeli-origin Turkish community residing in the city.

The participants gathered at Gündoğdu Square and marched to the Greek Consulate in İzmir.

Following the march, a black wreath was placed in front of the Greek Consulate, and a press statement was made. Mümin Durmuş, the head of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association İzmir Branch, read the statement on behalf of all the civil society organizations that took part in the event.
