“From Past to Future” brings students together in Edirne
Students from various cities in Türkiye, Western Thrace, and Bulgaria gathered in Edirne for the “From Past to Future” (“Maziden Âtiye”) student meeting, held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Musabeyli Choir camp area. The event featured meaningful activities and educational sessions.
The program was attended by Ahmet Hraloğlu, Deputy Mufti of İskeçe, along with religious officials Yüksel İmam and Mustafa Surçoğlu from Western Thrace.
During the event, Deputy Mufti Hraloğlu addressed the students, giving a comprehensive presentation on the historical journey, cultural heritage, and current challenges of the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority. He also conveyed greetings from Mufti Mustafa Trampa and the broader Muslim Turkish community in İskeçe. The session included an interactive Q&A segment, which engaged the students and created a productive atmosphere.
Hraloğlu expressed his happiness at meeting students from different regions of Türkiye and Bulgaria in the border city of Edirne and thanked all officials who contributed to the organization.
The event was also attended by Deputy Directors of Edirne Provincial Directorate of National Education Nail Yılmaz and Müzekka Bayrak, Principal Lokman Kızılyar of Akmercan Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, Ministry representatives, and teachers responsible for student groups.
The program concluded with gifts presented to the İskeçe Mufti delegation and commemorative group photos, marking a successful and memorable gathering.
