Civil Protection issues “Red Code” alert in Meriç over severe flood risk

The General Secretariat for Civil Protection has placed the regional unit of Meriç under a “Red Code” alert from Wednesday through Monday due to a significant risk of flooding caused by rising water levels in the Meriç River, which threaten to overflow its banks.
