Orestiada to host 2025 Balkans Table Tennis Championship

Orestiada has been selected to host the 2025 Balkan Youth Table Tennis Championship, following a decision made at the Balkan Association's congress in Sarajevo.
This choice comes as a recognition of the excellent organization of the 2023 championship, which was held in close collaboration with the Hellenic Table Tennis Federation (E.F.O.E.P.A.) and G.S. Filia Orestiada.
The championship will feature junior and cadet categories (Under 15 and Under 19), and Orestiada’s geographical location, being close to other Balkan countries, played a key role in securing its candidacy.
Although Orestiada lost its bid to host the 2025 men's and women's championship, which will be held in Bursa, Türkiye, securing the youth event is seen as a significant achievement for the region.
