Final farewell for seven PAOK supporters today and Saturday
Relatives and friends will bid a final farewell today and Saturday to seven PAOK supporters killed in a traffic accident in Romania on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Two funerals will be held on Friday at noon in Efkarpia, Thessaloniki, and Aronas, Pieria. On Saturday, three victims from Alexandria, Imathia, will be buried, with additional funerals scheduled in Efkarpia and Stefanina, in the municipality of Volvi.
The bodies were repatriated on Thursday aboard a C-130 military aircraft, which arrived at Thessaloniki’s Macedonia Airport, where PAOK supporters gathered before escorting the hearses to the Toumba stadium.
Meanwhile, two of the three injured supporters are being treated in Thessaloniki and are in good condition, while the third remains hospitalized in Timisoara after surgery.
