Balkan rowing championship: 300 athletes from 8 countries compete in Edirne
Athletes are competing in various categories, including junior women's four, junior men's single scull, junior men's double scull, junior men's four, junior women's quadruple scull, junior men's pair, junior men's single scull, junior men's double scull, junior women's single scull, junior women's double scull, and junior men's eight.
A total of 300 athletes from 8 countries will participate in the championship, which concludes tomorrow.
Erhan Ertürk, President of the Turkish Rowing Federation, told AA that the Balkan Rowing Championship is the most important competition for juniors and youth categories.
Highlighting the strength of Romania, Greece, and Turkey in these age groups, Ertürk said, “There will be fierce competition. Since these are younger age groups, it's difficult to predict the outcomes, but we have won the Balkan Cup for the past two years and are confident this year as well. Competing in front of our home crowd, we aim to claim the most victories and win the cup.”
