Unsettled weather is forecast across Greece on Holy Thursday, with increased cloud cover, local rain and a drop in temperatures, according to meteorologists.

Rain is expected mainly in eastern and northern areas, as well as parts of the Aegean, while light snowfall may occur in northern mountainous regions. Temperatures will reach 15–20°C in most areas, with slightly lower levels in the northeast. Winds will reach up to 6 Beaufort, and locally 7 in the Ionian Sea.

In Athens, brief showers are possible, with temperatures ranging from 12 to 20°C, while Thessaloniki will see variable cloud cover and temperatures between 10 and 17°C.

Rain is expected to continue on Good Friday, mainly in eastern regions, including parts of Macedonia, Thrace, Evia and Crete, with little change in temperatures.

Conditions will gradually improve over the weekend, with some local showers on Holy Saturday. On Easter Sunday, however, temperatures are expected to rise, with generally fair weather across the country.

Partly cloudy skies with periods of increased cloud cover are expected, along with local showers, mainly in eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Isolated thunderstorms may occur in the evening, while light snowfall is forecast in mountainous areas.

Winds will blow from the north-northwest at 4–5 Beaufort, turning southerly at 3–4 Beaufort from midday. Temperatures will range from 7 to 19°C, remaining 3–4 degrees lower in western Macedonia and Thrace.

Good Friday weather forecast (April 10, 2026)

Partly cloudy conditions are expected, with occasional increases in cloud cover and brief local showers, mainly affecting eastern Macedonia, Thrace, the northern Aegean islands, the Sporades, eastern Central Greece, Evia, the eastern Peloponnese and Crete.

Light snowfall is forecast in northern mountainous areas, while visibility may be locally limited in mainland regions during the early morning hours.

Winds will blow from northern directions at 3–5 Beaufort, reaching up to 6 Beaufort at times in the southeastern Aegean. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, reaching 13–14°C in the northeast, 15–18°C elsewhere, and locally 19–21°C in central and southern mainland areas, as well as in Crete and the Dodecanese.
