Topsidis pays visit to Greek Patriarch Bartholomew
The President of the State of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, Christodoulos Topsidis, paid a visit to the Greek Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople on Tuesday 26 March.
In a statement released by the press office of the Region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace regarding the courtesy visit that took place in Istanbul on Tuesday 26 March, Topsidis informed the patriarch about the human and environment-centred development model implemented in the province and the region.
Topsidis also stated that they would be pleased to welcome Patriarch Bartholomew in the region.
It was reported that the delegation, including Topsidis, included the Mayor of Komotini Yannis Garanis, the Mayor of Maronya - Şapçı Apostolos Ioannu, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Komotini and other officials.
The members of the delegation expressed their expectation that Patriarch Bartholomew would visit the region once again.
