A cold front will affect Greece's weather and significantly lower temperatures from Friday until Sunday December 17, according to a forecast by the National Observatory of Athens meteo.gr weather service.

Strong atmospheric waves over Europe will bring colder air masses and make the current unseasonably high temperatures drop between 10-15 degrees Celsius.
The same atmospheric movements will result in the formation of a low pressure area, which will be accompanied by rain and storms, at times intense, as well as snowfall at higher altitudes and some low-lying areas of northern Greece, it will gradually give rise to northerly gales.
The cold snap is expected to reach its peak on Sunday.
