The road, which was closed due to snowfall, was opened with the help of construction equipment and a digger. After about 2 hours, the passengers were transported to a safe area.
The wind speed exceeded 150 kilometres per hour in some areas.
Due to the storm, ship services were cancelled in the ports of Piraeus and Lavrio near the capital Athens.
While flooding many workplaces in Halkida city and Limni Island, some parked vehicles were damaged as a result of the fall of trees due to strong winds.
Experts assessed that the strong wind will lose its effect as of this evening.
