Praise for Erdoğan from Greek media

In the article titled "Erdoğan’s Wars", the portal analyzed how Erdoğan has managed to consolidate power both domestically and internationally, underlining the increasing influence of Turkey in global politics.

The piece refers to the PKK as "a problem Turkish governments have faced for decades" and notes that “its dissolution now significantly strengthens the Turkish President.”

The article highlights the ongoing efforts to dismantle the PKK and frames this as a major achievement for Erdoğan. It continues by noting that Erdoğan is “positioning Turkey as a nation with diplomatic clout and a key player on the geopolitical chessboard — and largely succeeding.”

The article emphasizes that this influence extends from Ukraine to the Middle East, and stresses that Turkey is ready to host talks between Russia and Ukraine, maintaining a delicate balance in relations with both sides.

Regarding Syria, the report suggests that Erdoğan has managed to establish a favorable relationship with the new regime, and even notes that “Erdoğan was once described as a valuable ally by U.S. President Donald Trump.”

Other international achievements credited to Turkey under Erdoğan’s leadership include:

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s expressed readiness to accept an invitation to visit Turkey.

Erdoğan’s attempts to play a role in European Union defense policy via Turkish investments in the Italian defense industry.

Additionally, the article points out that President Erdoğan has “managed to keep tensions low in Turkish-Greek relations.”
