Police intervened to remove the people who had broken into Syria's embassy

Tension occured on Sunday morning at the Syrian embassy in Athens when unknown persons broke into its building in Psychiko.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 in the morning when 3 to 4 people entered the embassy and hung a rebel flag on the outside of the building while also taking down photos of the country's president, Bashar Al-Assad.

The police forces, who were outside the building, intervened, according to sources, after a request from the Syrian ambassador and removed the invaders.

As it became known from the Police, three people have been brought to the police headquarters.
