Police extend opening hours for identity card offices

The Hellenic Police announced that starting Wednesday, the opening hours of 33 additional identity card offices located in police stations across Attica and other regions of Greece will be extended.

The move follows similar extensions implemented since March 2024 at more than 80 police stations nationwide, enabling citizens to access ID card services throughout the day.

According to the announcement, the goal of the measure is to increase appointment availability, reduce waiting times, and ensure the timely issuance of the new national identity cards.

Citizens can book appointments online via the gov.gr platform, selecting the desired service, date, and time.
