Parliament lifts immunity of Zoi Konstantopoulou

The plenary session of the Hellenic Parliament decided to lift the immunity of the leader of the left-wing opposition party “ Plefsi Eleftherias” Zoi Konstantopoulou.
The plenary session of the Hellenic Parliament decided to lift the immunity of the leader of the left-wing opposition party “ Plefsi Eleftherias” Zoi Konstantopoulou, with 204 votes in favour and 68 votes against. Konstantopoulou requested the waiver of her immunity, in accordance with her usual practice and position.
The case concerns a lawyer's complaint against Konstantopoulou for the offence of slander, threatening, and insulting during the trial at the Supreme Court (Areios Paghos) of Epaminondas Korkoneas, for the murder of Alexandros Grigoropoulos.
