Opposition's legislative consensus at historic low of 11.4%

"The opposition's legislative consensus on government bills during the period July 2023 - December 2024 was the lowest since 2004," according to a study by KEFIM Institut.
The highest percentage of legislative consensus among the 8 opposition parties warecorded by PASOK (26.4%), a percentage reduced by almost half compared to the corresponding 49.4% in the 2019-2023 period. All other opposition parties recorded percentages lower than 13%, it added.
More specifically, during the period July 2023 - December 2024, the opposition's legislative consensus on the bills brought for vote by the government majority in Parliament was as follows:
* PASOK: 26.4%.
* SYRIZA: 13.2%.
* KKE: 0%.
* ELLINIKI LYSI: 2.2%.
* New Left: 4.3%.
* Niki: 6.6%.
* Plefsi Eleftherias: 5.5%.
* Spartiates: 12.1%.
"Therefore, the average legislative consensus of the opposition parties stood at 11.4%, the lowest percentage recorded since 2004. This low legislative consensus documents the intensity of political polarization," according to the study.
