Migrant caught trying to swim to Greece off Bodrum

A migrant attempting to cross to the Greek islands by swimming was intercepted off the coast of Bodrum, in Türkiye’s Muğla province.
According to authorities, the Coast Guard Mobile Radar Unit (MORAD-15) detected a person in the water. A Coast Guard vessel (KB-114) was dispatched to the area and located the individual, who was trying to reach Greece by swimming while wearing a diving suit.
The migrant was brought safely to shore and later transferred to the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for official procedures.
