In Thessaloniki, a group of businesspeople fell ill with food poisoning after dining at a renowned restaurant.
During the opening day of the International Thessaloniki Fair this past Saturday, a banquet organized by a bank turned into a food poisoning scare.
According to local news site voria.gr, around 40 businesspeople attended the event held at a popular restaurant in the city center. However, within hours, many guests began to experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Several individuals were hospitalized, and it is suspected that the first course, consisting of raw seafood (crab and fish roe), may have been the cause. Those who did not consume the seafood displayed no symptoms, reinforcing this suspicion.
In response to the incident, the bank is preparing to take legal action against those responsible.
