Starting on Tuesday, April 9, Greek citizens will be able to submit a statement reporting the loss of their passport online via the gov.gr platform, following a joint ministerial decision signed by Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis, Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou and Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis.

According to an announcement, the loss of a passport can now be reported electronically, without visiting a police station or the Consulate responsible for the territory where the loss occurred.

The service is available at gov.gr under the category 'Citizen and Day-to-day Life' and the sub-category 'Citizen's Identity information and Identification Documents'.
