Greek FM: Ukrainian grain can be transported via Alexandroupoli Port

On 30 September 2023, Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis attended the first meeting of European Union (EU) foreign ministers in Ukraine under Russian aggression. Minister Gerapetriris, who supports Ukraine against Russia, referred to Ukrainian grains.

Stating that Ukrainian grain should be shipped to poor countries within the scope of grain trade, Gerapetritis pointed out that the Grain Corridor Agreement should be resolved as soon as possible and safe grain trade should be carried out.
Minister Gerapetritis stated that Greece is ready to provide support to Ukraine in this regard.
On the other hand, Gerapetritis stated that Ukrainian grain could be transported through the north of Greece, in particular through the port of Alexandroupoli.
